STANDARDIZED TESTS

A. Cambridge Primary Checkpoint:

is designed to help students registered in Cambridge Primary Program learn by providing comprehensive feedback on their strengths and weaknesses in the key curriculum areas – English, Mathematics and Science.
The tests are exclusively available to schools that offer Cambridge Primary and Jad International Schools are authorized to conduct Cambridge Primary Examinations. These exams are generally taken at the end of the final year of the program. They are marked by Cambridge and provide JADIS with an international benchmark for learner performance. Each student receives a statement of achievement and a diagnostic feedback report, giving JADIS invaluable information and the parents extra trust in the feedback they receive.
Students start being trained for the Primary checkpoint from Grade 4 and appear for these examinations at the end of Grade 6.

C. SAT Examination

SAT (Scholastic Assessment Test) — overview & current format
Purpose & global acceptance
The SAT, owned and administered by the College Board, is a standardized entrance exam designed to gauge how well students are prepared for first‑year university coursework. Like the ACT, it is accepted by every four‑year college in the United States and by hundreds of institutions worldwide (including many in Canada, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia).
2024‑25 structure (all‑digital)
Since March 2024 the SAT is offered only in a digital, multistage‑adaptive format delivered on College Board‑approved devices at secure test centers.✧ • Total testing time: 2 h 14 min. • Two sections: Reading & Writing and Math.
The exam is module adaptive: performance in each section’s first module determines the difficulty of the second, allowing fewer questions while retaining accuracy.
Scoring
• Composite (Total) score: 400 – 1600 (sum of the two section scores).
• No separate essay; subscores and cross‑test scores were discontinued with the digital launch. Content focus & “college readiness” benchmarks
Reading & Writing passages are shorter (≈75 words each) with one question per passage, reflecting the type of quick, source‑based reading done in college. Math emphasizes algebraic reasoning and real‑world quantitative problem solving; formula sheets are provided in‑app. College Board research links specific SAT section scores with a 75 % likelihood of earning at least a C in related first‑year courses (e.g., a 480 R&W indicates readiness for freshman composition).
Key changes vs. the old paper SAT
• Shorter (was 3 h).
• Digital tools: on‑screen timer, answer‑eliminator, built‑in calculator, and annotation.
• Faster score release: 2‑3 days (vs. ~2 weeks).
• Greater security & accessibility: each student receives a unique test form; extra time, screen‑reader, and font‑size accommodations integrate smoothly.
JADIS offers 9 to 12 graders the American Diploma Program by providing them with weekly SAT/AP courses to prepare them to be prepared to appear for the SAT examinations. It should be noted that JADIS is now officially recognized as SAT and AP examination center.

E. IELTS Examination Center:

What is IELTS?
The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) is designed to help students work, study or migrate to a country where English is the native language. This includes countries such as Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the UK and USA.
IELTS is developed to provide a fair and accurate assessment of English language proficiency. The students’ ability to listen, read, write and speak in English will be assessed during the test. IELTS is graded on a scale of 1-9.
IELTS is jointly owned by the British Council; IDP IELTS; and Cambridge University Press & Assessment.
JADIS is officially now an IELTS Examination Center.
