Introduction

JADIS Lower Elementary is firmly grounded in the belief that effective learning begins with a strong foundation, and that meaningful connections to previous experiences foster life-long learning. Aligned with JADIS’s mission, vision, and core strategies, we are committed to helping all students become positive, active global citizens. By equipping them with essential skills, knowledge, and understandings, we prepare our students to succeed in a dynamic world. JADIS Lower Elementary serves students from Grade 1 through Grade 6.
Grade 1-4 British Section and Grade 1-6 American Section
In both sections, students engage in inquiry-based learning, critical thinking, problem-solving, and hands-on experimental learning. Through these methods, students are encouraged to ask thoughtful questions, explore different disciplines, and solve real-life problems. They express ideas and opinions, consider alternative perspectives, share thoughts with others, and use technology as a tool to enhance their learning experience. Time is allocated for consolidating knowledge and skills, with a focus on developing the ability to articulate their understanding clearly.
Makarem Jad Program (For All Grades)
The Makarem Jad program is integrated throughout the school year for all grades, promoting key values such as respect, responsibility, and compassion. Students participate in activities that enhance social-emotional development and foster ethical behavior. Teachers dedicate time to guiding students in practicing these values daily through lessons, group discussions, and reflections.
Tarbawyat Jad Program (Grades 1-2)
For younger students in Grades 1-2, the Tarbawyat Jad program focuses on nurturing moral and social values from an early age. These foundational lessons help develop a strong sense of responsibility, empathy, and respect for others, creating a positive classroom environment conducive to personal and academic growth.
Misk Quran Memorization (Grades 1-2)
Students in Grades 1-2 also are engaged in the Misk Quran Memorization program, integrated with the academic curriculum. This program allows students to memorize Quranic verses alongside their regular studies, helping instill discipline, focus, and spiritual development as part of their overall education.
Field Trips and Extracurricular Activities
Field trips are an integral part of our learning experience, allowing students to explore real-world applications of their studies. From historical visits to science centers and cultural landmarks, these excursions complement classroom lessons and provide practical, hands-on learning opportunities.
Extracurricular activities, including sports, arts, drama, and academic clubs, also contribute to the holistic development of students. These activities encourage teamwork, creativity, and leadership, supporting academic learning and personal growth.
Active and Experiential Learning
Our students benefit from a variety of lesson activities that promote active learning, including critical thinking exercises, problem-solving tasks, and experimental projects. By engaging in these activities, students develop the skills needed to think independently, collaborate effectively, and apply their knowledge in creative and practical ways.
